The forecast was calling for a significant winter storm - anywhere from 4 - 10 inches (that's significant for us in the southeast) of snow depending on the elevation. We brought the dogs out to play in the snow and went snowboarding.

We took a few extra days off from working on the RV than we wanted because the weather got insanely cold (especially for western North Carolina). The polar vortex came through Asheville and the temperatures dropped to a record low of -1 *, more like -teens* with the wind chill.
